Hot Fitness

“Hot Fitness” encompasses all classes taking place in our infrared heated space including ChromoYoga, Hot Pilates, Essentrics, etc. (otherwise known as the “White Room”). Each class is limited to 8 or 9 participants allowing instructors to offer individualized attention as needed.

All sessions combine far-infrared heat, chromotherapy, and sound therapy!


FAR-INFRARED HEAT — Our Yoga is practiced in an environment designed NOT to overwhelm the body, but to relax and restore it with gentle infrared heat elevating the air temperature to only 82-97 degrees (depending on the style). Infrared heat is superior to forced-air heating in that it radiates through the air penetrating the body while warming the muscles and tendons allowing for greater flexibility and deeper moves into each pose. Additional benefits include:

  • Stimulates the circulatory system by increasing blood flow and oxygenating organs.

  • Helps lower blood pressure.

  • Increases the internal body temperature and stimulates your metabolism helping with weight management.

  • Helps with pain management.

  • Relaxes stiff tissue, muscles, and joints.

  • Promote detoxification and healing within the body.


CHROMOTHERAPY — The science of utilizing wavelengths of color light frequencies to improve the health of the body and mind. It is based on the theory that colors create electrical impulses in our brains through the eyes and skin and stimulate our hormones and biochemical processes. Color therapy has been used for thousands of years to heal the mind and body. In chromotherapy, each color has a different effect. The colors enhance the intention of the yoga class, whether to stimulate and energize, or relax and reset the body and mind. Color light therapy helps to deepen and strengthen your yoga practice offering the following benefits:

  • Red - promotes general wellness.  It activates the circulatory system and increases energy and melatonin secretion helping you to prepare for a good night of sleep. 

  • Green - enhances concentration and focus and can boost the immune system.  It can help with chronic pain and is associated with balancing the mind and body. It cleanses and balances our energy to give a feeling of renewal, peace, and harmony.

  • Blue - helps to control your body's circadian rhythm and can help you wake more easily in the morning.  It is associated with calmness and relaxation.  Blue light is also beneficial for improving skin conditions like acne.

  • Yellow - is intellectually stimulating and helps to promote clarity of thought. It can also calm and strengthen the nervous system. 

  • Orange - is emotionally stimulating promoting enthusiasm, creativity, and joy.

  • Purple - can purify and inspire our thoughts and increase the power of meditation. It can reduce emotional and mental stress.

  • Pink - reduces anxiety and inspires feelings of comfort. It is also good for promoting a restful night of sleep.


SOUND THERAPY — An ancient method to treat both physical and mental ailments. The sense of hearing in the human body has the most neural pathways. Sound therapy uses the power of sound to restore and balance the body’s energy field. The following specialized sound frequencies are used to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release:

  • Tibetan singing bowls

  • Crystal singing bowls

  • Bells and Chimes

  • Gongs

  • Nature Sounds and Tones.
